My name is Hattie Roney and I am a student at Brigham Young University getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and minor in Art. As I have gone through this program, I have developed a love for branding and typography, but I also enjoy and have experience in interaction design, web design, letterpress, product design, packaging, labeling, traditional print design, and motion graphics.
One of my overarching goals with my work is to embody this definition of design as explained by the great design legend Paul Rand:
"To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order, or even to edit: it is to add value and meaning, to illuminate, to simplify, to clarify, to modify, to dignify, to dramatize, to persuade, and perhaps even to amuse. To design is to transform prose into poetry."
